Strengths
Combo system - Combo Attack stacks orbs that multiply all damage, unique and powerful mechanic
Brandish - Brandish hits up to 3 enemies with strong damage in 4th job
Slow 2nd job - No new attack skills; still uses Power Strike/Slash Blast until 3rd job
Single-target focused - Brandish only hits 3 mobs; not the best mobber
Skill book dependency - 4th job requires rare boss drops for Brandish/MW books
AP Build
Aim for STR 13 at character creation. Standard build: +4 STR / +1 DEX per level, cap DEX around 50-60. You need 35 STR to advance to Warrior at level 10.
Rush Improved MaxHP Increase early - it gives permanent bonus HP on every level-up, so missing early levels means permanently lost HP. Slash Blast first because multi-target mobbing is how you train. Skip Iron Body (near-useless defense buff) and Endure entirely.
Skip Final Attack - the animation delay disrupts Slash Blast mobbing and FA becomes useless in 3rd/4th job. Sword is recommended over Axe for more stable damage. Rage is a great party buff (+12 weapon attack for the whole party). Power Guard returns 40% of damage taken at max level.
Combo Attack is everything - it builds orbs on every attack, and those orbs multiply the damage of Coma, Panic, and Shout. Max it first, always. You'll still use Slash Blast boosted by Combo orbs for general training. Coma (sword) before Panic because multi-target training dominates. Skip Shield Mastery (Shield Mastery).
Brandish is your bread and butter - max it first. Advanced Combo Attack supercharges the Combo system. Power Stance is essential for bossing (90% knockback resist). Enrage is a toggle: boosts damage but reduces mob count to 1, so only use while bossing. Maple Warrior depends on skill book availability - invest what you can when you get books. Skip Monster Magnet (Monster Magnet).
